The Priory of Commagny was founded in the High Middle Ages (9th century). The prior's house, rebuilt in the 16th century, and the church, with its early 12th century architecture, remain. The nave has a very beautiful panelled roof structure; the cul-de-four choir is decorated with Lombardy bands, which are very rare in the Nivernais region, and the 12th century historiated capitals are all architectural elements to be discovered in the church.
