Initially, only the choir formed a chapel, which was given to the monks of St Symphorien d'Autun in 990.
The church was built in the 12th and 13th centuries, and was rebuilt in the 14th century after a fire damaged the central vault.
Several of the building's ornaments are listed, including a wooden statue of St Peter dating from the 15th century, a bronze bell from 1734 and a 17th-century painting depicting the Last Supper. The church is open every Sunday
