The church of Saint-Bénigne de Dracy-le-Fort, in the style of the 19th century, neo-Gothic, is built in the old town with large middle-class houses, overlooking the castle, almost on the site of the previous, cited ecclesia draceyo in 1244 in the cartulary of the bishopric of Chalon. This one was in such a state of deterioration that it was preferable to rebuild another one. The new one was built in two years (1858-1859) by a contractor from Givry, François Joblot, according to the plans of the architect Lazare Narjoux, from Chalon.
