Eglise romane Saint-Jean-Baptiste
(12th century)
This church is remarkable for the extent of its mural paintings, which were preserved and restored between 2004 and 2008. The 13th century geometric decoration of the vaults is noteworthy, and the richness of its design leads the faithful to the sanctuary where Christ is enthroned in the presence of the apostolic procession. An Annunciation in the north-east chapel and various panels in the choir and medallions of the Apostles were added in the 15th and 16th centuries. In 2019, "The Meeting of the Three Living and the Three Dead" was restored in the porch. See also the fresco representing this scene made by pupils of the college on the wall of the wash-house at the bottom of the village.
The church is open in July/August (3-6pm) and during the Heritage Days, visits by appointment outside the opening periods.
