Commanderie Templière de Villemoison
The Commandery of Villemoison is a unique monument in the region, both by its history and its architecture. Its three buildings (chapel, commander's dwelling and barn), which date from the 12th century, bear witness to the establishment of the Templar Order in the Nièvre. In the courtyard, there is a Romanesque chapel whose heart is decorated with a 13th century fresco. The site is private and part of it is a tourist accommodation. The site can only be visited during the summer guided tours offered by the Loire, Vignobles and Nohain Tourist Office in July and August.
