Perched on the hill of Grainetières, this ancient church existed as early as the 9th century and could even have a pre-Romanesque origin. This probable origin of the High Middle Ages explains its location off-centre from the town and the presence of the cemetery around it. The church of Notre-Dame was used as the parish church of Paray (Paredum) until the 17th century. At that time it was much larger, as only the choir remains today. One can also see some traces of painting probably from the late Middle Ages representing draperies.
