To access the chapel, you have to leave the village of Saint Martin la Patrouille and take a hollow and winding, tarred path. It dominates the surrounding countryside. You can also see its beautiful chevet looming on the horizon stopping below (the narrow road is one-way). It remains open to the passer-by and invites contemplation. One is struck by the light of the white stained glass window at the bedside, visible beyond the porch, which bathes a statue of the Virgin and Child with its halo.
