
Ancienne Abbaye Saint-Bénigne - Musée archéologique de Dijon
The collections of the archaeological museum are presented in the main wing of the former Benedictine abbey of Saint-Bénigne. In contrast to the power of the old chapter house and the scriptorium dating from the early 11th century, the elegant lightness of the monks' dormitory built at the end of the 13th century. More recent rooms and a staircase from the second half of the 17th century complete the ensemble. You are presented with a vast panorama of the presence of man in the Côte-d'Or, from prehistory to the Middle Ages, with the region's key sites: Dijon, Alesia, Les Bolards, the Sources of the Seine, Vertault, Mâlain...
