
Musée galerie Carnot
The museum presents many artists who were attracted to and seduced by Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, in particular the Nabis group.
On the ground floor: the historical lapidary collections and the temporary exhibition space "les caveaux" which hosts both contemporary artists and thematic exhibitions.
On the first floor: the rooms of the historical museum give pride of place to the local sculptor Émile Peynot and to the painters who have highlighted the town's landscapes, while the modern part of the museum hosts temporary exhibitions by contemporary artists.

Visits: from 15 February to 30 October, all year round from Wednesday to Saturday from 2 to 6 pm, in July and August every day from 2 to 6 pm.
Special opening conditions :The Carnot Museum-Gallery is open and welcomes you in accordance with the sanitary protocol: - Sanitary pass required - Wearing a mask is mandatory - Hydro-alcoholic gel available at the entrance
