Built in the 16th century, Bossuet House was home to the ancestors of the famous French bishop and writer. The most modest part of the building was used as a workshop and shop by this family of weavers, while the imposing building served as their home.
The building now houses the Musée de la Saône et des Gens de la Saône. Three floors of exhibitions tell the story of the area: archaeology and geology; the river; and industry: Jacob Delafon and Proteor.
