Jeanne BARET (1740-1807), a young Morvan peasant, plant gatherer and servant to Philibert COMMERSON and Antoinette Vivante BEAU, before becoming the first woman to circumnavigate the globe on a Royal Navy ship.
In 1764, before Philibert COMMERSON and Jeanne BARET left for Paris, they lived in Toulon-sur-Arroux.
