Promenade des Moines

Departure from the multi-purpose hall car park, opposite the town hall.

(D/A) Go up the road towards the no-entry sign. When you reach the school, turn right onto a small path that goes around the school to the right. Leave the departures on the left to arrive at a chicane.

(1) Take the tarmac road as far as the crossroads. Opposite Rue du Château, turn right down the grassy track onto Rue du Couvent. Turn left and continue along this road as far as Les Écharlis.

(2) Turn either under the porch or to the right of the porch. Leave the two consecutive streets on the right which serve a few houses and after the last farm buildings, the road becomes a path. At the fork in the road, bear right to reach the end of a wooded area and the Fontaine Carrelée (enclosed).

(3) Continue along the levelled track, leaving an attractive path on the right that runs above the water pumping site (not shown on the IGN map). Enter the undergrowth, then reach a road.

(4) Turn left onto this tarmac road, which runs alongside the entire Bois des Chêniaux on your left.

(5) Continue along the edge of this wood, turning left. Go into the undergrowth for a short while until you reach a junction of four paths.

(6) Go up to the right and reach a track to the left. Cross Les Lindets and continue along the road until you reach the RD18.

(7) Cross the road with care and continue straight ahead towards Les Dionnets. The road descends and then rises to reach a crossroads with a footpath on the left.

(8) Take this path which crosses a ford (if there is a lot of water, choose the footbridge on the left) and leads to a road (RD18, Route de Villeneuve).
Turn right onto this road and shortly afterwards (approx. 50 m), take the grassy track on the left. At the crossroads, turn left along the wire fence and you will come to the same road you came to at the start.

(1) Turn right through the chicane, then join the path leading to the foot of the school and the car park (D/A).
