The car park for this walk is located on Avenue Jean Jaurès at the foot of the Jardins d'Eau.
(D/A) Opposite the toilets building, take the path at the foot of the Jardins d'Eau sign. Pass the playground on your left, then the wash-house. Cross the branch of the river on your left and take the lane at the end of the footbridge.
After the chicane, take the Rue du Montluisant almost opposite. Cross the Rue du Château and take the cobbled lane opposite that runs around the church.
(1) Turn right and walk up the square alongside the buildings and shops. Turn left opposite the market hall. After crossing Rue de Turenne, walk up it, keeping to the left-hand pavement.
At the crossroads, turn left and cross Rue Pierre Curie on the pedestrian crossing to enter Place de la Libération. Head towards the town hall. Halfway along the road, turn right into Rue Aristide Briand and follow it up to the left. Turn left at the first crossroads.
Turn left into Rue de l'Égalité and, at the crossroads, continue into Rue de l'Étang. You will come to a bend in the road opposite.
(2) Take this and continue along this main road, leaving the various paths to your left and right.
(3) Turn right and walk alongside the Étang des Luneaux (private, please respect the site). When you reach an open space, keep to the left with the edge of the fields to your right and the edge of the wood to your left to reach a partially tarmacked track. Keep to the left to reach a road.
(4) Cross the road and take the path that you will have to leave at the first crossroads to go left. Go past the Capitière to reach a road. Turn right and continue along this road. Turn left at the sharp bend in the road. Shortly afterwards, the gravel is replaced by a dirt and grass track. You will come to a wooded area and the ru de Beaune.
(5) Let a track go off to the right and cross the river on the footbridge between the trees. At the end of this passage, opposite the field, turn left. The path is not very well marked, but it follows the Beaune. It curves round and climbs up through the fields to reach a service road with a house on the right. Continue until you reach the road.
(6) Cross carefully. Turn left and follow the wall (or what remains of it), keeping to the right-hand shoulder. Continue as far as the crossroads signposted Les Bourgeois. Turn right, go past Les Bourgeois, leaving the paths leading to La Bastière and Les Bruneaux.
(7) At the crossroads, follow the signs to Les Adams. Cross the road and continue along the path at the end of the road.
(8) Carefully cross the RD90 and go down the path leading to La Forge and Les Follets. After crossing the branch of the river, take a sharp left-hand bend, leaving the path leading towards Les Follets. Pass under a forest canopy with, on your left, stretches of streams. At the end of the climb, you come to a bridge.
(9) Turn left before the bridge and continue along this concreted ditch (see § During the walk).
Continue, keeping the ditch on your right. It follows the natural slopes and arrives at the Crôt de l'Âne bridge.
(10) Do not cross this bridge (private road) but continue along the ditch, always keeping to the right. Pass the Château du Coudray on the right, then a wash-house.
(11) Cross the road at Pont du Palais (do not take the bridge) and continue along the ditch and then a road.
(12) Cross the road at Pont Saint-Jacques and continue along the grassy strip that runs alongside the ditch, which remains on your right.
(13)Turn left just before a garden fence with a cement wall, to enter the Rue de Saint-Cartaud. Take the second street on the right, which descends slightly onto Rue du Loing. Take this street and turn right as far as the junction with Avenue Jean Jaurès.
(14) Carefully cross this busy avenue. Go straight ahead into Rue de l'Épalu. Go past the motorhome park. In front of the building, turn left and cross the bridge. Leave the fish ladder on your left. In the driveway, turn left, then cross an arm of the river on another bridge. At the exit, turn left to reach the car park (D/A).
