(D/A) Start from the forecourt of Saint-Julien Church. Take Rue de la Fontaine Saint-Julien as far as the wash-house of the same name.
(1) At the wash-house, take the path on the right, then the second path on the right and continue along this path until you reach the Grands Moulins reservoirs.
(2). Take the road opposite and go around the hamlet of La Forêt, keeping to this road as you come to an old drinking trough on the left.
(3) In front of the drinking trough, turn left twice in quick succession.
(4) At a junction of 4 tracks, leave the first track on the right, take the next one on the right and join the D73 road to cross it.
(5) At the end of the track, opposite a thick hedge, turn 90° left and continue along this track. Rejoin the road, taking the next path on the left (directional marker on the ground). At the crossroads, head towards Thury to reach the hamlet of Panny. At the entrance to the hamlet, before the old pumping station, take the road on the right towards Gemigny, then take the first road on the right and at the large bend on the right, take the left-hand track. This back and forth path leads to the Boutaut spring and an ancient feudal motte (traces only).
(6) Make a U-turn. Back in this hamlet, go down the right-hand street to take the first path on the right that passes in front of the old village washhouse. Continue along this path, forking left at the next crossroads. At the top of this path, go down to the left to join a slightly wider track at the bottom. At the crossroads, turn right, then first left to reach the D3 road. Cross the road and take the narrow path down to the Moulery washhouse.
(7) Continue due south. Cross the D3 road again, take the first track opposite and the next on the left, cross the road again and continue to join a small road and turn right. At the second track on the left, leave the road and take this uphill path.
(8) Then follow the edge of the Bois du Roichat.
(9) When you come to a side track, turn left.
Go straight through the wood, leaving all the paths on the right and left. The path at the end of the wood widens slightly and becomes tarmac. Just before the stadium, turn right to go along the edge of the wood.
(10) Go straight across this crossroads and enter the area of former underground quarries.
A bit of a rollercoaster! If you visit these quarries, watch out for stones that may roll away!
Cross the road and go right once and left again.
(11) Leave the path and continue straight ahead on a small tarmac road that leads round the hamlet of Grangette on the left. Leave the road on the left that leads to Thury and, after the farm, take a track on the right that passes the Puits des Champs.
(12) Turn right, and at the end of the track, take the first street on the left. Continue along this street which comes to a road and immediately turn left at the crossroads onto the track. Go down to the D4 road.
(13) Turn right, then take the first track on the left, then the first track on the left again, which climbs up to the hamlet of Colangette.
(14) At the Carrouge crossroads, go straight on for about 700m. Cross the D3 road and continue straight ahead towards La Forêt.
(15) At the second bend, leave the road and take the path slightly to the left.
Take the first turning on the left, heading south-east, which will take you back to the starting point, ending at a small section of road (D/A).
