Start from the lock car park, Rue Hugues Cosnier.
(D/A) With your back to the car park, turn right and cross the bridge over the canal. At the exit, immediately take the path down to the foot of the locks, with the canal on your left. At the foot of the locks, continue straight ahead, always following the canal. At the junction with the main road, turn right and continue along Rue André Henriat. Leave Rue Henri IV on your right and come to a crossroads.
(1) Turn right towards Breteau (Rue des Postillons). At the fork, turn right. Leave this road at the sharp bend and return to it after a few metres on the grassy section. At the next fork in the road, turn right and drive past the gates and surrounding wall of the Château de la Brenellerie. Reach a crossroads with a cross slightly hidden in the vegetation.
(2) At this crossroads, go straight on, leaving La Brenellerie on your right. Continue, leaving Les Caillats on your left.
(3) Before crossing the Rigole de Saint-Privé, leave the road and turn right onto the track.
(4) At the end, cross the gully and immediately turn left onto a side track. Turn right.
(5) Go right-left and keep to the edge of the wood. You will come to a tarmac road.
(6) Turn right, leaving the Grand Chaloy opposite. Reach the Pont des Révalleries. Cross this bridge over the Rigole de Saint-Privé.
(7) Turn left along the path that runs alongside the ditch (a stud farm is on your right).
(8) Turn left towards the silos. In front of the Canal de Briare, turn right and go under the bridge over the D14. Continue along the towpath.
(9) Continue along the towpath. Pass through the Racault Lock, the Saint-Joseph Lock and then the Chante-Pinot Lock.
(10) At the crossroads, cross carefully then turn right without crossing the bridge. Go through the chicane to join the footpath. Go downhill with the seven old locks on your right. Join the Rue André Henriat.
Turn left without crossing this street. After the bridge, turn left onto the canal-side path (D/A) to reach the car park.
