This walk starts from the town hall car park.
(D/A) On leaving the town hall courtyard, head towards the village with the church in view. Once over the bridge over the Branlin, turn right into the Grande Rue (in the direction of traffic). With the church on your left, come to a side street (Rue Carreau). Turn left and continue along this street until, after No. 16, you come to the path on your right. Pass under a gate and walk between gardens and a hedge on the left. You will come to a fork in the road.
(1) Take the path on the left and pass the rails which are stored on the right-hand side of the path. At the next crossroads, leave the side paths and continue along the well-marked route.
(2) Take the path on the right (picnic area on the right). This leads to a side path.
(3) Turn left. Walk past the well. At the next junction, turn left into a hairpin bend. Leave the old rails and waggons, remnants of the 20th century, on your right.
At the next junction, turn right, leaving the start on the right. Pass a clearing and come to a junction of 3 paths.
(4) Make a slight right-left turn and, before the clearing where a forge and a replica of a low furnace have been installed, take the first path on the left. Pass a path on the left to reach the crossroads you came to on the outward journey.
(3) Turn left, missing a start on the right and reaching the crossroads at the entrance to Le Ferrier.
(1) Turn left. Follow the path taken on the outward journey and enter Rue Carreau. Go down this street and turn right in front of the church gate. Head back towards the bridge and reach the start car park (D/A).
