On the Seille, you'll have a soothing, relaxing and, above all, rejuvenating time. You'll be able to retrace the history of the Seille thanks to the various witnesses you'll find along the way, including castles that have disappeared or are still standing, and mills that are still visible. The river rises at Ladoye-sur-Seille, but is canalised and navigable from Louhans to La Truchère, a distance of 39km.
The Seille guides you through 4 locks and breathtaking scenery.
You can admire the farms grouped together in hamlets that have inherited the traditional timber-framed architecture of Saint-Romain. You'll also see the remains of the old towpath, the old stockbreeding and farming facilities, the château at Loisy, the church at Jouvençon and, of course, its many mills!
