The Tour du Morvan Grande Randonnée® de Pays trail was established in the early 1980s. It runs through the Morvan Regional Nature Park, crossing the four departments of Burgundy: Côte-d'Or, Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire and Yonne.
The Tour du Morvan long-distance hiking trail (GR) offers a complete immersion in the picturesque landscapes of this emblematic region. Starting in Ouroux-en-Morvan, the trail passes through natural gems such as La Courcelle, the mystical Breugnet forest and the peaceful Brenets.
Arleuf reveals its authentic charm before reaching the Etang d'Yonne, offering a serene stop-off at the heart of the route. As you continue your adventure, you'll discover landmarks such as Le Châtelet, Fragny and Villapourçon, each steeped in its own character.
The route takes you past iconic places such as Mont Beuvray, Champ-du-mort, and the peaceful Canche dam. The route then winds through Vaumignon, La Croix-de-Chèvre, Ménessaire, Chaumien and Moux-en-Morvan, revealing the diversity of landscapes and atmospheres.
The route continues through Alligny-en-Morvan, Fétigny, Saint-Brisson, the Breuil-Chenue forest, la Pierre-qui-Vire, Saint-Léger-Vauban, Trinquelin, Marigny-l'Église, La Chaume-aux-Renards, Brassy, and finally back to Ouroux-en-Morvan.
