Welcome to the GR® 213! The route covers a total of 84km of intoxicating landscapes and emblematic architecture, and links two Burgundy sites listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the majestic Abbey of Fontenay and the charming Basilica of Vézelay.
Let yourself be seduced by the landscape of Burgundy along the roads and paths that await you, taking small paths accessible to all, the interest of the route lies in the discovery of rich heritage elements and beautiful viewpoints.
Visit the Buffon Museum and learn about natural history and the philosophy of the Enlightenment, follow the radiant Burgundy Canal, pass through the village of Epoisses and its château, Montréal and its medieval appearance or Avallon and its fortifications.
There's plenty of scenery too, from the Terre-Plaine with the foothills of the Morvan in the background to the panoramic views over Vézelay before you reach Asquins.
The route is also easily accessible from Montbard (TGV), Avallon and Sermizelles-Vézelay (TER) stations.
