The Pont du Roi Sensitive Natural Area is located at the gateway to the Morvan, in the commune of Saint-Emiland, at the southernmost point of the drinking water reservoir.
The immensity of the reservoir combines with the density of the forests to create an area of exceptional ecological interest.
The "Ravine forest and moors of the Vallon du Canada and the Pont du Roi dam" are part of the European Natura 2000 network.
So, along a trail of around 1 km (educational panels, wooden platform, observation fence, etc.), you'll discover a number of natural environments that are as rich as they are fascinating, so let's set off on a journey!
The flooded part of this discovery trail is only accessible when the reservoir level is low.
Free access all year round.
Visits accompanied by a nature guide are organised in spring and summer.
