Pont du Roi Natural Area
The Pont du Roi Sensitive Natural Area is located at the gateway to the Morvan, in the commune of Saint-Emiland, at the southernmost point of the drinking water reservoir.
The immensity of the reservoir mingles with the density of the forests offering an exceptional ecological interest over the whole of this sector.
The "Ravine forest and moors of the Vallon du Canada, Pont du Roi dam" is also part of the European Natura 2000 network.
So, along a path (educational panels, wooden platform, observation fence...) of about 1 km, you will discover numerous natural environments as rich as they are fascinating, so... let's go on a journey!
The flooded part of this discovery trail is only accessible when the reservoir level is low.
Free access all year round.
Visits, accompanied by a nature guide, are organised in spring and summer.
