Start: Place des Frères Genets

(D/A) Opposite the Post Office, turn right: you are now in the Rue de l'Abreuvoir. Head towards the bridge to cross the Ouanne. When you reach the pond, turn right. You will be accompanied by barnacle geese; for their health, avoid feeding them.

(1) A picnic shelter is available. Continue as far as the D3 road. Cross the road and go straight ahead along a track with a "one-way traffic" sign. You are now on the old Tacot line. Cross the Ouanne and continue. At the end of the track, cross the départementale 950 with care and continue along the track opposite.
Cross the Route de Sauilly (D159) and continue along the Chemin des Champs de la Route, which ends in a footpath.

When you reach the D965 on the outskirts of Toucy, carefully cross the road to go straight ahead. This is a pleasant wooded path. You are now back on the Toucy-Joigny tacot line as far as the old Toucy-Haut station (markings no longer visible).
Turn left down Rue de la Halte, which joins Rue des Montagnes. Cross the road and turn right into La Glaudonnerie park.

(2) Walk around the building (currently the municipal library). Return to Rue des Montagnes and walk down it. Cross Rue Paul Defrance and continue straight ahead.

(3) After admiring the oldest house in Toucy, in the Rue du Marché (2nd house on your right as you go down), turn immediately right towards the church. Opposite the entrance to the church, turn left into Rue de la Motte and head downhill.

(4) At the bottom, turn right as far as a green space (viewpoint). Take the stairs in front of you.
When you reach Place de la République, look out for the statue of Pierre Larousse. Continue straight ahead on Rue Colette to the Place des Frères Genêt car park, passing in front of the Tourist Office (D/A).
