A grandiose panorama in autumn colours from Notre Dame du Nivernais!
Discover autumn in slow mode, along the Canal du Nivernais. From the Tour de Cercy, take this hiking trail which will lead you to the countryside, to discover the bocage which serves as a backdrop to this ancient medieval town. Your route will be dotted with numerous panoramic views of the shimmering colours overlooking the whole valley. On the way back, take a break at Place d'Aligre and admire the sunset in the company of Notre Dame du Nivernais!
Situated on a rocky spur, Cercy-la-Tour is the meeting point of three rivers: the Alène, the Canne and the Aron, and the Canal du Nivernais. This 10.5km route invites you to discover the hedged farmland that serves as a backdrop to the town, with its many panoramic views over the whole valley, as well as its cultural heritage, including the Moulin de Chevillon. Follow the towpath along the Canal du Nivernais to appreciate the town's marina and engineering structures. Tour +3h
