Mine circuit

Starting at the square in front of the restaurant, follow the Boulodrome and Football Pitch. Go left then right and cross Le Sornin, go left, Lac de la Mine; just after go left, the site of the old coalmine closed in 1960. After “Les Perrieres” go right following the lane to “La Plantee”. Cross the road and continue on the lane to the left, “ Puits Neuf”. On the right are the remnants of the entrance to the Puits Neuf. After a little slope take the road to “Cote d’Or”, turn right, to the left is the village of St Laurent-en-Brionnais. Go, through “Les Chaffauds” then on to “Fromental”. Turn right towards “La Sarrandiere”. Descending, is beautiful countryside, the hills of the Dun Mountain, Le Vieux Bourg, La Carriere…….. Further down take the lane to the left to “La Place” to join the lane to “Crottes” which you go down to arrive at the waterfall of Gothard near the old fish farm. Trace your steps back until you get to the road for “La Sarrandiere” and continue the descent just as far as “Coptiers”. Turn right and pass alongside the farm framed by 2 lakes. Take the lane to Le Bourg to arrive back where you started.
