Start in Le Bourg by the Mairie on the road to Amanzé. Leave the parking area and turn twice to your left towards”La Fosse Purcher”. Go along the Departmental road to arrive at the housing estate at Champagne. Go straight down the earth track. When you arrive at the Cross of l’Homme Mort at the border with the commune of Saint Germain-en-Brionnais turn left. You will now go through the woods. Bordering the path you will see some beech trees engraved with names – this is known as Lovers’ Lane. At the crossroads cross the road to Amanzé to arrive in the hamlet of Saint Georges. Head towards “Giverdier” with its Brionnais houses. Take the dirt track behind the house towards “La Pouge”. Be careful when crossing the D985. Follow the sign to “Les Rondets” at the boundary with the commune of Curbigny. A dirt track will take you to Chateau de Drée (built in the 17th and 18th centuries). Admire the façade as you pass the park. Continue towards Saint Symphorien des Bois; at the entrance to the woods turn left. A lane in the underwoods will take you to the lake at Baubigny and its hamlet with some beautiful stone dwellings. Carry straight on towards “Les Essarts” and then to “St Prix” where you can visit the Romanesque Chapel. To return, take the road on the left before the chapel to arrive in the hamlet of Soleil. At the top of this lane make a small detour to your right to the statue of Notre Dame des Bois. Retrace your steps and follow the dirt track to “Loges”, go straight up to “En Soleil” passing near to the Football Pitch to arrive in “le Vieux Bourg” with its old chapel. Go up on your left towards “Le Bourg” with its Church and Hall.
