Rare: gîte with piano, in good condition and in tune.
Part of a unique architectural ensemble, the house is part of the former outbuildings of the Abbaye Saint-Pierre, in the medieval village of Flavigny-Sur-Ozerain, where the film "Le Chocolat" starring Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp was shot.
This gîte was completely renovated in loft style in 2016. It offers particularly comfortable and spacious accommodation for 4 people.
Flavigny-Sur-Ozerain is one of France's most beautiful villages. Strolling through its winding streets and imposing ramparts, with their breathtaking views over the surrounding valleys, is a feast for the eyes but also for the nostrils, tickled by the scent of aniseed distilled by the Fabrique des Anis de Flavigny, housed in the former Abbaye Saint-Pierre.
From early December to mid-January, a display of nativity scenes in the windows of the houses of the Middle Ages gives the village a magical Christmas atmosphere, transporting visitors out of time. In addition to guided tours of the village and the Carolingian crypt of the Abbaye Saint-Pierre, visitors can also enter the church of Saint-Genest to admire the magnificent choir stalls and the Smiling Angel with its gentle expression.
Saint Joseph de Clairval Abbey is home to Benedictine monks, and there is a seminary in the village. The Flavigny forest, on the edge of the village, offers magnificent walks in all seasons.
You don't have to go far for other remarkable discoveries: the Burgundy canal and its cycle rides are 5 km away, the MuseoParc d'Alise Sainte Reine (archaeological museum of the battle of Alesia) is 7 km away, the Château de Bussy Rabutin is 13 km away, and the Forges de Buffon and the Abbaye de Fontenay are 23 km away.
