Le Moulin de Rix

Situated in the Nièvre region, at the foot of an old Burgundy village, the Moulin de Rix offers holidaymakers the luxury of 5.5 hectares of water and meadows, perfect for strolling, daydreaming or contemplating the flora and fauna that inhabit the estate. Just 4 km from the mill, the medieval town of Clamecy has all the local shops you need, while a host of historic sites - Auxerre and Avallon (40 km), Vézelay (25 km), Dijon, the Nivernais Canal, the Morvan Massif and its lakes, and the famous vineyards of Burgundy and the Loire (Beaune, Chablis, Sancerre, etc.) - are all invitations to discover the heritage of this beautiful region. Housed in a cottage independent of the mill, the accommodation combines the charm of the old building (1743), which has been preserved, with the comforts you would expect to find on holiday. The spacious living area is lit by large windows with uninterrupted views over the millstream and river, and includes a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, and a sitting area with a 3-seater sofa that can be used for an extra double bed, a television and a number of books available in French and English. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove ensure maximum comfort, even in winter. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. A mezzanine overlooking the living area has a double bed.
