An ideal moment to recharge your batteries before the winter chill...

As well as the splendid autumn colours of the trees and bushes, there's still time to use the terrace for lunch and dinner and to curl up in the deckchairs without the summer crowds. Autumn is the ideal time to visit the Taizé Community, whether for an hour or a week, when the crowds of young people who flood the hill during the school holidays will have gone home and the peace and quiet will have returned.

We offer you a warm welcome in a traditional house in Taizé, in the south of Burgundy, between the Cluny-Cormatin axis.
Taizé is well known, at the foot of the Ecumenical Community and on the edge of the famous Burgundy greenway created in 1997 on an old railway line.
La Source de Taizé is a place of calm and a return to one's roots, living close to nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the cities. We even have a small stream running at the end of the grounds. The cats in the house provide 'purr therapy'.

The house is an old farmhouse in the Mâconnais style, built of Burgundy stone with a Mâconnais gallery, situated at the entrance to the village, at the bottom of the hill, opposite the Mairie and just a 10-minute walk from the Community.

Among other things, you can enjoy a large garden, where the trees generously offer you their protection and invite you to relax. Tables and sun loungers are provided free of charge.

By prior arrangement, we can offer you a table d'hôtes meal.

There are plenty of restaurants serving regional specialities just a short drive or bike ride away. Ideally situated between the Mâconnais and the Côte Chalonnaise, the wine-growing area is well represented and the wines are served at the region's finest tables. The region's rich culinary specialities are sure to tantalise your taste buds!
