Our gîte La petite Maison is located in a very quiet village, in the heart of the vineyards, 12km from Chalon-sur-Saône, on the Burgundy Wine Route, between Mercurey and Givry. Renovated in the outbuildings of an old wine property, and fitted out in a simple and warm way, it will bring you calm and serenity.
The village, Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu, benefits from a very central location to discover the cultural and patrimonial wealth of South Burgundy: between Beaune and Cluny (and Solutré), between Autun and Chalon (and Tournus), passing by numerous castles (Germolles, Cormatin, Couches, Epiry, Brancion, Saint-Pierre de Bresse, Sercy, La Rochepot ...) and numerous Romanesque churches, including the nearby one in Touches.
The surrounding hills of the Côte Chalonnaise, some of which are classified as Natura 2000 sites, offer many possibilities for hiking from the gîtes, without taking the car (maps and directions available).
Our little corner of Burgundy is full of well-kept secrets that we will be happy to let you discover during our simple and warm welcome (panoramic views, cycle tracks, canals, geocaches, local products).
Don't hesitate to visit our website, you will find a lot of information about the activities/visits and all the facilities of the gite.
