Historic monument, Private garden
The historic gardens of Parc Vieil, known from a 1780 land register in the Auxerre departmental archives, were completely destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century to make way for agricultural use of the land surrounding the château. Since 1989, when the current owners acquired the property, they have been keen to recreate the parks and gardens in the spirit of 18th-century France. These include a forecourt, kitchen garden, herb garden and small formal park. Every year, they continue their efforts to restore the buildings to their historic surroundings.
