June 1945, in a small French village, young boys and girls come together for the first time to celebrate their school's end-of-year party. Three shadows hang over the party: that of Monsieur Joseph, the music teacher, and that of two gypsy children. All three took a train to nowhere in the winter of '44. This show will be dedicated to their beloved teacher, a man of passion, a lover of love and freedom. The texts will be adapted to local events, and in particular to the actions of the Louis maquis.
The show will close the week of commemorative ceremonies:
24 June, La Verrerie, Montsauche, with presentation of the events
25 June, ceremony in Montsauche and presentation of the exhibition on the Montsauche fire, and presentation of the work of the schoolchildren
26 June, ceremony at Dun-les-Places. On 25 June, evening with the families of those who were shot and screening of Matthieu Mugneret's 2022 film about the Dun massacre.
