Two choirs for Gabriel Fauré
The Ensemble Voix humaine (dir. Alice Benevise) in partnership with the Vibrat'Hom choir (dir. Arielle Dervieu) will be giving this choir and organ concert in Decize, after Nevers and Cosne-cours-sur-Loire, to mark the centenary of the death of composer Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924).
These two vocal ensembles are supported by RESO Nièvre.
Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, his most emblematic work, will take pride of place in this concert, with soloists Alexis Pautrat (baritone) and Gabrielle Deit (soprano).
The choristers will also perform 2 motets for women's voices, Opus 65, and Jean Racine's Cantique.
The concert will be accompanied on the organ by Matthieu Germain, organist at Nevers Cathedral and organ teacher for RESO Nièvre.
Free admission.
