As it does every year, the Musée de la Loire, formerly the Augustins Convent (Monument Historique), is taking part in the European Heritage Days, opening its doors free of charge for this year's event.
Come and discover or rediscover the temporary exhibition Collection, tell us a story! and immerse yourself in history, mythology and religion across the centuries and around the globe.
On Saturday, a storyteller from the Médiathèque Cœur de Loire will be on hand in the exhibition rooms. At the heart of an immersive scenography, in an intimate atmosphere, History will take shape before your very eyes, and the little stories will enchant your afternoon.
On Sunday, storytelling will give way to music! The museum will be offering the acoustics of its usually quiet and hushed rooms to a rare and strange instrument in our latitudes: the didgeridoo! Thanks to the Underground Cosmic Didgs duo, we'll be taking you on a dreamlike, rhythmic journey that will resonate with the exhibition in a very special way! The colourful, mystical and trance-like sounds of the musicians will gradually prepare you for a plunge, body and soul, into our new universe that crosses time and space - a change of scenery guaranteed!
Tales and music on the programme, to the delight of young and old travellers alike, who you'll be sure to embody over the course of this magical weekend. Hold on tight, take care at the start, lift-off guaranteed!
