Unravel the mystery of the flora of the combes on this fun walk. Your mission: put together each of the 7 plant families! Accompanied by landscape gardeners from the Côte-d'Or CAUE, you'll collect and photograph flowers, fruit, leaves, bark and trees... It's a fun way to understand how the landscape is formed and the species it harbours.
The Côte-d'Or CAUE (Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et de l'Environnement) is offering you the chance to discover the specific flora of the combes of the Côte de Beaune, in order to understand how this landscape was formed over time, discover its link with the Climats de Bourgogne vineyards, and learn to recognise some of the plants that grow there.
This family walk of around 3.5 km, designed on the principle of a "treasure hunt", will give children and parents the first keys to recognising the local flora and discovering the 7 plants that grow mainly in this specific environment. This loop will take in the hamlet of Gamay, take you up to the plateau and give you an overview of the climatic landscape and its components.
A drinks reception can be organised for the public.
Walking shoes are required for this workshop.
For this event, the Côte-d'Or CAUE is proposing two exploration sites to cover a large part of the region: in the Côte de Nuits, in the commune of Fixin, and in the Côte de Beaune, in the commune of Saint-Aubin. (See other events in the Month of Climats programme).
