In the abundance of summer festivals, Jazz Campus has been playing its fair share of music for over 40 years. With those who practise music, on the occasion of courses (or workshops), led by leading musicians, which irrigate both local and national amateur practices, and future great professionals.
But it is also, and above all, a sharing with a large audience - local and national - which finds itself in connivance with a programme that gives pride of place to the most innovative, mischievous or impertinent, but in any case musically indisputable, in the vast field of today's jazz music.
In one week, a dozen concerts in heritage sites in the Clunisois region will showcase the irresistible youth of an art form that is now a hundred years old...but which is far from having said its last word.

+++ As a bonus: jam sessions in Cluny every evening after the concerts will welcome night owls in order to prolong these rich and intense musical days.
The jazz workshop, which takes place throughout the festival, offers young instrumentalists, amateur musicians and future professionals, an opening onto ensemble practice: orchestra class, collective improvisation and creation, group playing, exploration of a repertoire, fanfare. This workshop does not offer instrumental training, it is above all, through different approaches, an invitation to make music together. This "recipe" (which is not a recipe) is based on the quality of the participants who, for forty years, have been chosen from among the musicians who make up the jazz and improvised music scene in France and Europe today.
The youngest (7 - 11 years old) are entitled to a special session while teenagers and adults are divided into six workshops, directed by nationally renowned artists.
In the morning, a creative fanfare, free and open to all, brings everyone together.
