To coincide with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Sabine Jaccard is presenting a new series entitled "Paris Olympic and Paralympic Sports". The exhibition is part of the preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Jaccard, a freelance professional photographer living in Paris, uses her black-and-white silver photographs to set the athletes in their Parisian architectural environment.
This photographic work bears no resemblance to professional sports photography. Usually, photographers focus on the athletes with a blurred background, but here Sabine Jaccard has used a long depth of field to anchor the athletes in their architectural environment. All her photos were taken outdoors in natural light.
This exhibition raises awareness of the psychological and physical benefits of sport, whether Olympic or Paralympic.
