Plants and Legends" exhibition

Discover a world where mysteries abound and magic reigns supreme.
The Eden Centre, a cultural site of the Department of Saône-et-Loire, presents Plants and Legends, an exhibition that takes you on a journey of discovery of the senses, imagination and knowledge of plants... but not only!
Nature has frightened and intrigued mankind for thousands of years. It has always fascinated us, inspiring legends, stories and beliefs. The plants and mushrooms found there have always been of great importance for their ability to heal, as messengers, or as objects of magic and mystery. This power is often based on observation and knowledge of the medicinal virtues they contain. But it is also often embellished by beliefs, superstitions or magic rituals.
Plants with prodigious virtues, mythical trees, magical herbs, bewitching flowers, witches' potions or love potions, discover through this exhibition the deep connection between man and nature and the way it has always played a central role in our culture and imagination.
