This year, in 2024, the theme proposed by the Poussière d'ocre association is that of the body, a way of echoing the Olympic Games which will be taking place this summer.
Did you know that for 36 years between 1912 and 1948, Olympic events were held in painting, sculpture, literature, music and architecture?
150 medals were awarded in these fields on the theme of the "sporting body".
Poussière d'Ocre will evoke the poetic, political or feminist body, in movement and in relation to nature.
For Daniela Capaccioli, the body emerges from the surrounding vegetation, drawn from the imagination of Greek mythology, with creatures assuming hybrid forms that are half-man and half-animal.
It was during an exhibition entitled "Le corps et l'air" that Daniela Capaccioli discovered a particular talent: that of giving body to wire mesh, making it as malleable as clay.
Taming iron to give it lightness and meaning is now the new art form she has chosen to share the singular way in which she looks at the world.
