Carnal rustles

Whether on canvas or paper, the new exhibition by artist Joëlle Kem Lika is devoted to flowers. Water lilies, bouquets on canvas and flowers on paper, painted with a knife, in a graphic and very contemporary style. The exhibition space also features the artist's other themes: skies, waves, abstracts... as well as works for children. "I'm sensitive to the power of flowers. The power that allows them to slip through the slightest crack in the concrete. That power that you can almost hear rustling... A joyous power, sparkling like fireworks... That's why my bouquets and flowers invade the frame of the painting, sometimes overflowing it and exploding like an impulse of life". Joëlle Kem Lika.
