During the 1939-1945 war, Ouroux-sur-Saône, like many French communes during the period of occupation by German troops, paid a heavy price for the war and experienced two tragedies that deeply marked the collective memory of the inhabitants and their families. As part of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation and the duty to remember, the commune has decided to pay tribute to the aviator Anthony RIPPON and the maquisard André FLOCHON with several highlights:
8/05: departure of the parade at 10.30 am in front of the Salle R. Rochet with military vehicles of the 2nd war, commemoration at the monuments followed by a concert and dance "du Swing à la guinguette" from 12.30 to 4.00 pm (free admission), catering on site.
from 21 to 31/05: exhibition at the library and events
From 21/05/24 to 31/05/24
On 08/05/2024 from 10.30am to 4pm and from 21/05/2024 to 31/05/2024 according to library opening hours.
