Earth, water, air and fire are four essential elements for the tile and brick factory, which has been in operation since the 18th century and is entirely artisanal.
This family business was acquired in 1894 by P. Monot André. At that time, it only had a square fat lime kiln and a hall used for drying tiles and other products (bricks, tiles, etc.).
The production is still done manually. At present, there are 4 kilns, always working on wood fire, whose firing temperature goes up to 1200°. The clay is extracted from a quarry located on the property. The production is sold in the region and far beyond.
This small artisanal company is currently run by Mr Pajot, who will be happy to explain his work to you.
