I discovered ceramics at the age of 18.
After a year's apprenticeship in Spain and the Ardèche, I embarked on my ceramics adventure.
adventure, and for over 40 years I've been practising the glazed earthenware technique: a simple but demanding
a simple but demanding technique, as the application of engobes, the engraved line and the colours on the green
extreme care.
I use very little equipment: a red or black clay that I model, assemble and hollow out, a wheel, a knife and points for engraving; for the colours, oxides and dyes applied with a brush; finally, a transparent glaze that makes the colours sing after firing in a gas at 1040°.
I draw my inspiration from the plant and animal worlds, combining them with the ever-essential human element.
Through my work, I reveal a poetic, dreamlike, offbeat world in search of harmony.
