We specialise in the design and manufacture of saddlery and leather goods, focusing on quality and made-to-measure rather than productivity. Saddles, halters, bridles, handbags, pouches, belts.... Each piece is unique!
We select our leathers and buckles carefully and as far as possible from French professionals. We have excellent tanneries on our territory and we feel it is important, necessary and ethical to work locally and on a human scale.
We perpetuate and defend the know-how and expertise that are at the heart of our products, with a constant concern for quality and durability, thanks in particular to the hand-stitching that you can discover during a visit to the workshop.
Claire Jégou, trained at the Haras National de La Roche sur Yon by a master saddler and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and Sébastien Leroy, a recognised master saddler with 25 years' experience in a number of workshops and leading houses, now together represent the LGM Saddlery workshop in the heart of France, in Burgundy, in the Nièvre region.
The saddlery has been in existence since 2010, perpetuating year after year a style of leatherwork that combines respect for tradition and modernity. Hand-stitching is the name of the game, and expertise and know-how are the Ariadne's thread running through the workshop. The smell of the leather, the sound of the tools, the feel of the materials - the eye is drawn in from every angle.
The ancestral tools hanging from the workbenches highlight an ancient craft that has endured.
By combining tradition and technical skills, using noble and modern materials, this duo of craftsmen sets itself no limits.
