Céline Faille, artist and ceramist, welcomes you to the Atelier du fond du bout du chemin, and on the Neptune gallery boat.
You will discover there the practice of the foot wheel, the modelling with the plate (drawn with the Korean way), with the colombin (with the African way). We work with all kinds of clay: Saint-Amand sandstone, African Stone, porcelain, wild sandstone, Plaine Champbertrand clay and all those offered for souvenirs. They are bodies, engobes, bringing depth, brilliance or satin. They are fired in an electric barrel kiln (1270°C), in the open air (still in the African style, between 500°C and 750°C), or in a steaming kiln (950°C). An Anagama kiln is in gestation.
Celine Faille makes pieces for expression, utility and ornament. Large pieces, which the installation puts in context and brings to the discussion. Smaller pieces that the preemption puts in the intimacy of the touch. But always, the earth shines through to give the energy missed by the tool and the gesture.
Céline Faille also regularly organizes workshops for children and adults.
