Alain Vuillemet is a French sculptor born in Levallois-Perret (France) in 1947. As a young man, fascinated by Vaucanson's automata, Alain Vuillemet sharpened his eye by reading and visiting museums. He combines his work as a sculptor with public performance. Alain Vuillemet creates sculptures in public for the American Centre in Paris, or under the dome of the CNIT in La Défense. His confrontation with the public during his performances stimulates his creativity.
