
Cours d'initiation à l'histoire de l'art moderne et contemporain
All sessions take place from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at the Consortium Museum (37 rue de Longvic, 21000 Dijon).
The courses are given by Noëllie Roussel, art historian and cultural project development officer.
There is a charge for this course: 100€ (10% discount for Friends of the Consortium and students) for the six sessions, for a total duration of 9 hours. This price also includes free admission to the Museum Consortium exhibitions, valid once, to be used between 1 September and 6 October 2020 during public opening hours.

Post-war art in the United States and Europe (1945-1960).
Abstract Expressionism and Formalism. Cobra, Fluxus, the beginnings of Pop Art, the New Realism.
TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER
The 1960s & 1970s in the United States and Europe.
Minimal Art, Conceptual Art, Process Art & Antiform, Land Art, Arte Povera.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND
The 1980s in the United States and Europe.
Post-modernism, Pictures Generation, Appropriation, the return of painting. The end of movements, the beginning of trends.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH
The 1990s in the United States and Europe.
Relational aesthetics, the Young British Artists, the explosion of the Los Angeles scene, transgressive art and the question of the body.
TUESDAY 6 OCTOBER
The art of the 21st century in the United States and Europe.
The globalization of art, questions of identity, the popularization of contemporary art and the explosion of the art market.
