Only two hours from Paris via the A6 or the national road for those who prefer to take the time to discover the many castles and vineyards that line the road to Puisaye Forterre (Colette's country), the lucky traveller will arrive at Taingy. After passing the church of Saint Matin (flamboyant gothic portal from the 15th century) you will take a stony path nicely encircled by a tunnel of greenery which will lead you to the Manoir de la Croix de Saint Louis where your hosts will be delighted to welcome you
Our guest house was built in 1830 on the site of a former convent (Couvent de la Croix Saint Louis) and bears the history of a French bourgeoisie family which, since the reign of Charles X, has been involved in the local life. Writers, artists and politicians have often stayed in this place full of history.
