Couvent des Castafours – Judith Lemoine
Flavigny sur Ozerain, in Burgundy, is considered to be one of the most beautiful medieval french villages. The city is overflowing with memories of history : 17th-century abbey, Aniseed candy factory known since the 15th-century, 8th-century Crypt... You will be surprised to find yourself going downstairs to the bedrooms. They are in a 17th-century convent (Couvent des Castafours) with a superb view of L'Auxois and the Valley of The Ozerain. Flavigny is near to Semur-en-Auxois (medieval town), Alésia (historical site), the Chateau of Bussy Rabutin, the Abbaye of FONTENAY and many other interesting sights. This village is also the town where the Oscar-nominated film "Le Chocolat" was made.
