In the Middle Ages, Luzy was the seat of a barony and developed thanks to the installation of the Nevers-Chagny railway.

The town hall is located within the walls of the Hôtel Nault de Champagny, a residence decorated with works by famous artists, including 18th century Aubusson tapestries.
Close to École La Rose, you will find two lakes (3 and 4 km.) where you can fish or swim and a forest (600 m) where you can organize a picnic in all tranquillity.
