Les nids perchés du Domaine des Galants

The Domaine des Galants is nestled in a green setting, protected by a screen of century-old trees. It is located 2 hours south of Paris in Puisaye, near the medieval construction site of Guédelon. Less than 1 km away is the small village of St Vérain with the remains of the fortifications of a 12th century feudal city with one of the oldest dungeons in France. The town is classified as a Historic Monument. Numerous excursions in the vicinity: the castle of St Fargeau, the Colette de St Sauveur museum, St Amand and its potters, Sancerre, Clamecy, ..

It is in the woods called "Gallants" that the perched nests are implanted. The leaning nest: a real cube of leaning wood painted in Puisaye ochre and hanging well from its tree at 6.5 m high. The spherical nest : a wooden sphere solidly attached to its three-hundred-year-old oak. The nest on the water: two cabins nested one inside the other and solidly attached to four beautiful oaks a few cables from the ground with a terrace overlooking the pond and the nest under the stars: all wood and glass, attached to a magnificent oak six meters above the ground.
