The cult route of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" was awarded the "Vélo & Fromages, la France sur un plateau" label in 2020 by the Assemblée des Départements de France (ADF) and the Centre National interprofessionnel de l'Economie Laitière (CNIEL).
From Chalon-sur-Saône to Mâcon, the route takes you on a journey of discovery through the region's cheese-making heritage. Visits to farms, stops at cheese-makers', gourmet breaks at markets... there are 23 addresses within a 6km radius of the greenway, showcasing the skills of passionate craftsmen.
You'll follow a superb loop through a landscape of vineyards between the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise regions, from Mâcon to Chalon-sur-Saône. You will then return along the Voie Bleue (Blue Way) along the Saône to Mâcon, in the rural atmosphere of the riverside.
